This beautiful pair of Maison Baguès chinoiserie two-tier end tables was created in the early 1940s with solid foliage shaped gilt bronze structure and a chinese decor lacquered top picturing birds and foliage on a tree. This table is typical of the Chinese inspired neoclassical work of Maison Baguès in the 1940s and 1950s, and offers a timeless, sophisticated look, with plenty of amazing details. The gilt bronze structure has been fully cleaned and has a beautiful patina, while the Chinese lacquer tops have been fully varnished. These tables are now found in an amazing condition. These are rare finds, and real statement pieces.
