Presented in 1964 at the Bernheim-Jeune gallery on Avenue de Matignon, the exhibition, Giant Hands, by the painter Jean de Gaspary (born in 1938) evoked agricultural machinery as an extension of the human hand. A long-time admirer and friend of the artist, Aurélien Jeauneau recreated the presentation, on the occasion of the Fête des Puces at Paul Bert Serpette, and thus reconnected with this founding project, which places gesture and manual work at the heart of art.

This reactivation now interacts with a contemporary and original creation: a study specially designed for the gallery by the architect Isabelle Stanislas, in a nod to 20th-century French decorators, and to Isabelle and Aurélien's first collaboration with Paul Bert Serpette, in 2016.
