Mirror barrel with sides then round, marked: “Mle 1874” on the top, “S. 1878” on the right side punched with the letters “M” and “J” circled on the left side.
Steel frame marked “N 23 248”.
Hollow barrel with six chambers.
Checkered wooden butt plates.
Bail ring on piton.
All parts with the same number and control hallmarks.
Single and double action operation.
Glossy white polished finish.
The total production of the 1874 revolver was 36,084, including 6,808 in 1876.
