Description

Magnificent Vase by the SCHNEIDER Brothers, France, 1940

H: 30 cm - D: 26 cm

Double bubbled glass with an ovoid body with green and pink geometric patterns like dancing in a round, topped with a short neck.

The creations designed by Charles SCHNEIDER combine the expertise of the glassmaker with that of the decorator.

This style goes against the traditional style of the Nancy School. It is influenced by the great Venetian tradition.

The SCHNEIDER brothers invented a style, a subtle blend of Art Deco and Modernism, to which they added a wide, incomparable, original and vibrant palette of colors, some never before seen in glass art.

The shades are obtained using enamel powders melted hot between two layers of transparent glass
