Straight single-edged steel blade shaped on the counter-edge, groove, marked “STAINLESS STEEL”.
Hallmarked silver ferrule.
Blackened wooden rocket carved in a grid pattern.
Silver cabochon knob.
Wooden scabbard covered in black leather.
Cope, marked “MADE IN SCOTLAND” and hallmarked silver rivet.

In Scottish Gaelic, the term "sgian dubh" means "small knife." It is one of the attributes of officers of the Gordon Highlanders.
