Beautiful L07 extendable bench by Pierre Chapo, model created in 1963. This one, an edition circa 1976.

Created in 1963, the L 07, a technical feat with impeccable aesthetics, is entirely modular and transforms into a single bed, a double bed, or a bench. It is one of the rare pieces of furniture of this type to function without mechanical intervention. Thanks to a very clever system, the bed unfolds into a double bed with disconcerting ease. Two benches of openwork slats slide into each other, the slats intertwine like a comb, and the hinged mattress opens like a book.
