Kotsuka signed Chūzui

Shibuichi, gold, shakudo, silver
Kotsuka in shibuichi, carved with two herons in shakudo with golden eyes and legs, in a river with bamboo enhanced with gold and silver.
The reverse is signed “Chūzui”, chiseled with lines.
The heron evokes restraint before action in samurai culture.
