Art Nouveau vase in enameled glass, Legras & Cie, circa 1900. Marbled brown-amber and red glass, with richly enameled and gilded decoration of stylized hydrangea flowers, in bluish and green tones, highlighted with gilt accents.
The slender body features a superb cloudy background typical of Legras' creations, highlighting a finely executed floral design in relief. The neck is adorned with a gold band, adding elegance and balance to the whole.
Characteristic work of the Legras & Cie company (Pantin), one of the greatest French glassmakers of the Art Nouveau period.
Period: circa 1898-1908
Technique: marbled glass, polychrome enameling in relief, gilding.
Condition: Very good overall condition
