World War II periscope.
It consists of a cylindrical, straight casing with a 45° mirror at each of its open ends: light enters through the upper end and exits at the lower end, near the observer's eye. This optical instrument thus allowed soldiers to see the battlefields while remaining concealed in the trenches.
Retractable wooden handle.

Leather case with belt loops, marked "6X".
