“My work is rooted in the intimate, at the crossroads of obsession and thread. I explore the flaws, the lacks, the emotional wounds, which I try to stitch together — literally and figuratively — through a hybrid practice mixing drawing, embroidery, accumulation of objects and symbolic references.

During a trip themed around Alice in Wonderland (a lifelong source of inspiration), I created a deck of playing cards reimagined as fragments of myself, drawing inspiration from the figures of the spider, the mouse, the cat, and the rabbit to create a world that is both childlike and unsettling. These cards have all been given away during that trip, though I've kept a copy. The threads, bandages, and needles become ways of expressing care, silence, and the tension of connection: embroidery becomes a language. The omnipresent red embodies danger, excitement, life, sexuality, violence, and the sacred.

My world is populated by puppets, bandaged faces, isolated hands, fragmented bodies. It speaks of addiction, repetition, submission, but also of healing. It is an attempt to fill the void through creation, to tame impulses, to give form to what overflows. The thread becomes a thread of life. It binds, it supports, it hinders.

My works do not seek to respond, but to stand. It is a work of compensation as much as of survival — a way of creating connection where there has been rupture.

To see in it both the spider and its prey. The one who weaves, the one who holds fast, and the one who struggles.
