A tubular structure of black lacquered metal, stretched like a gallows, holds at a distance a reflector of curved and perforated sheet metal, lacquered white: when lit, the white sheet appears to float alone under the ceiling.

Botta designed the Zefiro for Artemide in 1988; an architect first and foremost, he only designed a handful of lighting fixtures and treated them like small constructions, a load-bearing frame and a supported element, nothing decorative in between.

The diffuser is made of white lacquered perforated sheet metal, conforming to the documented models. Good condition.
