Blown glass and murrines

Very good condition

A clear, thick-walled blown glass bowl, where a scattering of blue-grey and orange murrines rises from the bottom and lightens towards the rim. Each pellet retains its concentric eye. The slightly irregular rim is considered a natural finish.

Designed by Gae Aulenti for Vistosi, a Venetian manufacturer with which the Milanese architect collaborated from 1965 onwards — one of the frequent transitions of figures in Italian architecture to Murano glass during this period.

Compact bowl or salad bowl format, designed as an accent piece for a table or console.
