Height: 29 cm; Width: 5.5 cm
Articulated doll standing upright, the torso and lower limbs of wood bound with knotted natural fiber cords and the head of marine ivory carved into an oval animated by a pair of almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose and a finely incised mouth.
These dolls were traditionally made by the women of the family to initiate children into identity, dress codes, and their role in society.
