Large turtle shell wedding comb -

Wedding comb called "hai kara", in tortoiseshell, traditionally offered by their father to girls of marriageable age. The motifs usually represent stories from the Indonesian mythology of the Sunda Islands, related to nature, the tree of life and animals.
Carved decor with finesse and a lot of address because made in round and one piece.
Good condition (all teeth comb).
Note a small lack of three serrations of the decor edge (top center).
Height 15.2 cm x 15.5 cm wide
