Castiglioni, Achille

Achille Castiglioni was born in Milan in 1918. Castiglioni is the name of three brothers with whom Achille will realize his first creations as a designer and interior designer. Achille Castiglioni is particularly known for its lighting creations, an economy of means answering to a surprisingly beautiful functionality, for example the Toio floor lamp.

Today considered as one of the most famous Italian designer for its achievements and research, he has been awarded seven times by the Compasso d'Oro and six of his pieces have entered the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art of New York.
