Tibet or Nepal
First half of the 20th century
Bone
H .: 8; L .: 4.5; Thickness: 1.5 cm
This central part of llama armband ornament consists of a rectangular section of bone terminated in a point on its upper part. It is illustrated in bas-relief of a Tantric deity wearing a large scrolled diadem.
On each of the side edges, it is pierced with four circular holes which allowed the passage of the different rows of the bracelet. Said bracelet, could be worn as an armband, consisted of a main figured yoke, separated by round beads from four other smaller elements on each side.
These adornments were ritualistic.
