Round barrel ending in flats, marked "B 1813" for Bourgeois 1813 on the left side, "M AN 13" on the top and control mark on the top.
Flintlock plate with heart-shaped dog and straight crest, signed "Manuf Imp de St Etienne", control hallmark representing u, "S" in a lozenge for Stelen.
Brass side plate and trigger guard.
Wooden frame.
Steel rod with a "nail head".
Control hallmarks representing a crowned "G" for Guichard, the inspector of fittings.

Weapon manufactured by the Saint Etienne factory from 1806 to 1817 in 141,355 copies for the Napoleonic cavalry.
