Chinese sword with shagreen scabbard

Steel, brass, shagreen, wood.
Long. Height: 77cm; L. of blade: 47.5cm

Straight steel blade, single-edged.
Wooden handle, covered with cotton braiding. Ovoid pommel, in decorated molded brass. Tsuba type hilt, in cast brass decorated en suite.
Wooden scabbard, entirely covered with polished shagreen; three fittings in molded and cut brass, decorated in scrolls.
Small lack of shagreen on the end of the sheath, see photo.
