Octagonal barrel, rifled bore, silver half-moon front sight, marked on the top "COLT'S PT. FA MFG CO. HARTFORD, CT. USA", on the bottom "PAT. SEPT. 15, 1874 DEC 15-74" and "COLT NEW 22" in a cartouche on the right side.
Hollowed round cylinder with seven chambers.
Spur trigger.
Nickel-plated bronze frame, marked "22CAL" on the left side and numbered "3" inside.
Bird's beak shaped stock, serial number "43329".
Wooden stock plates.
Single-action operation.
Nickel-plated, blue and bronze finish at 90%.
