Hussar sabre with Ottoman blade

Steel, iron, sheepskin, leather
Long. total: 81; Long. blade: 67.9 cm

Iron frame.
Flat, spoon-shaped cap with a long tail.
Thin dome with rivet button, chiseled with lines.
Spindle covered with sheepskin, with thirty-two grooves.
Curved joint arc.
Oblong tray ending in a domed rectangle.
Rectangular earlobes.
Curved blade with one edge, chiseled with scrolls and marked "لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله" (There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah) on one side and "صر من الله وفتح قريب" (Help [comes] from Allah and a coming victory) on the second side.
Leather scabbard, chape and rivet in the shape of a stylized heart.
Bail ring.
