Pair of luxury flintlock pistols, by Joseph LLINAROS
Spain around 1800
Steel, wood, silver, gold and horn
Total length: 27; Barrel length: 14.5; Cal.: 18 mm
 
Two-register barrels separated by a frieze; with sides, then round; rim at the mouth.
Engraved with thunderbolts of foliage in volutes, stamped on three with three fleurs-de-lys on a gold background and a crowned punch marked LLINAROS. Lights decorated with gold. Tails of the breechblocks are engraved with flowers and foliage.
Engraved silver nasturtiums.
Miquelet plates, engraved in relief and intaglio; signed Joseph LLINAROS on the bodies and MALAGA on the batteries.
The counterplates have belt straps. Engraved bridges, decorated with an engraved silver band.
Carved walnut frames, richly decorated with cut and openwork silver decoration forming scrolls, cups of abundance, birds. The ovoid caps are decorated with a finely engraved silver band, cut silver and finished with a button.
Walnut sticks with light horn tips, one finished with a light tip and the other with a wick tip.
Very good condition. High quality.
