PAIR OF MARINE TROMBLON PISTOLS, SIGNED KETLAND & Co IN LONDON

Steel, bronze, brass, wood.
Overall length: 34 cm - Barrel length: 18.6 cm - Muzzle diameter: 40 mm
Bronze cannons, with two registers separated by engraved lines; they are octagonal, then round, with blunderbuss-shaped muzzles; the upper flats are engraved LONDON; the flats on the left side are stamped with the controllers' marks. The bronze breech tangs are engraved with a frieze and foliage.
Round-bodied lock plates, signed KETLAND & Co. Swan-neck dogs, with safety locks; roller-type pan covers; flame-shielded pans.
All the fittings are made of gilded brass and engraved with scrolls, shells and foliage.
Walnut wood frames, carved with a flower on leaves.
Iron rod with a nail head.
Very good condition.
