SABER of the pirates of Salé called Nimcha
Morocco
Late 18th century
Steel, wood, brass
Long. total: 66.5; Long. blade: 53.5 cm

Slightly curved blade, with a single cutting edge and three grooves on each side.
Wooden handle, covered with a copper plate on top.
Four-quillon guard, two of which end in a teardrop shape.
Wooden scabbard covered with two brass inserts, chiseled with floral and geometric patterns; and two iron inserts.
Two bail rings.
