Musashi Province, Japan
Edo period (February 1697), 10th year of the Genroku era (Genroku Ju Nen)
Steel, wood, lacquer, copper, horn, gold, shakudo, iron, silver
Nagasa: 72.4; Nakago: 21.2 cm
Sori: 1.6 cm

Kata shinogi type blade, mune hikushi, gunome type hamon.
Boshi type o maru.
Nakago funa gata et ha hagari kuri jiri, signed Chikuzen Fukuoka-Ju Nobukuni Minamoto Yoshitsugu Oite Bushu Edo Koreo-Kitaer / Genroku Ju Nenu (10th year of the Genroku era)
(筑前福岡住信国源吉次於武州江戸鍛之/元禄十年二月日).
Silver-covered copper habaki, chiseled.
Saya made of wood covered with black lacquer.
Kojiri, kuri gata, koi guchi in black lacquered buffalo horn.
Wooden tsuka ito, covered in shagreen, braided with black silk.
Menuki depicting two samurai in copper, gold and silver.
Tsuba shin no maru gata in iron covered with shakudo, chiseled with a copper oni in a storm; a golden constellation engraved on the back; signed.
Copper sekigane.
Fuchi made of copper covered with shakudo, carved with a horse tied to a tree, next to a waterfall, all enhanced with gold and silver.
Kashira in copper covered with shakudo, engraved with a samurai sitting under a tree, the whole adorned with gold and silver.
Seppa in chiseled copper.
