Bed (day and night) in ash and white lacquered steel. Designed by Claude Gaillard for student rooms in the Jean Zay residence in Antony around 1955.
The furniture known as "Antony" was part of a vast equipment project initiated at the time by the CROUS, which called upon the most important designers of the time such as Jean Prouvé, Marcel Gascoin or Charlotte Perriand.
It has become historic and highly collected because it is emblematic of the new planning and production issues at the time of Reconstruction.
This bed is documented and reproduced in the magazine La Maison Française number 98 of 1956.
