Pair of bedside tables, Maison Jansen

Very beautiful and rare pair of raspberry lacquered, brass and mirrored bedside tables made to order by Maison Jansen in the late 1970s. The contrast between the raspberry lacquer, the brushed brass frames around the structure and drawers, and the anthracite gray mirrors on the fronts, is superb. The three materials reflect the light in different and subtle ways, and create a superb palette of warm colors. A very chic and decorative pair, in the pure style of the 1970s, of a rare quality of manufacture. They have been completely restored, relacquered, and are in superb condition. The chest of drawers shown in some photos, from the same series but with a different finish, is also available.
