Pair of floor lamps, Michel Boyer

Maison Cedric

Description

Exceptional pair of Colonne floor lamps designed by Michel Boyer produced by Verre Lumière in 1979. Their monolithic black lacquered metal structures are composed of a prismatic body with strict, linear geometry, surmounted by a shallow nickeled metal dish diffusing indirect light. A circular dimmer, discreetly integrated on the rear face, punctuates the composition, introducing a subtle functional detail within the rigor of the design. This model perfectly illustrates Michel Boyer’s work, where pure geometry and formal restraint reflect a pursuit of clarity characteristic of French design in the 1970s. In excellent condition, fully refinished and rewired in our workshop, this sculptural pair offers a strong presence, ideal for structuring an interior with precision.
