Sword from 1822 that would have belonged to a 3 star General of the mounted light brigade
Gilded bronze guard, gilded with mercury
Blade length - 98 cms, stamped "Manufacture d'armes F.D&B à Paris", sword-makers to the Emperor.
The sword was probably manufactured during the Second Empire and modified during the 3rd Republic.
Some slight marks and dents
