Large Carrara marble sculpture by Belgian sculptor Herman Bockstaele (1953).
He continued his career as a sculptor while teaching sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.
Original lacquered base, bearing an engraved copper plate, bearing the artist's name.
Height of the marble 80cm, width 55cm.
The organic round volumes refer to the round and sensual bodily curves of the human body, with the tension of an eroded pebble.
