The A3 armchair was presented at the Center Technique du Bois Competition in the spring of 1955. The ARP obtained the 1st prize in the competition for their living room layout, with in particular a pair of A3 armchairs. This model heralds the Corb armchair, an evolution with a metal base, released the following year.
