Set of 6 model 196 armchairs - Finn Juhl for France & Son - Teak - Ca 1960

Le goût de l'antiquité

Description

Exceptional series of six model 196 armchairs by Danish designer Finn Juhl.

Finn Juhl is one of the emblematic figures of Scandinavian furniture.

These vintage armchairs were produced in the 1960s by the "France and Son" factory, whose stamp can be found under the seat.

These armchairs are rare to find, especially in such a series.

They are worked entirely in solid teak. A quality teak whose veining and patina are magnificent.

The finesse of Juhl's work lies in the attention to detail and finishing.

In addition to aesthetics, these armchairs are particularly comfortable and offer a soft and welcoming seat.

The upholstery has been changed to a nice textured brown fabric.

The set is in superb condition with a visit to the cabinetmaker to apply a light protective varnish.

These armchairs can also be placed around a dining room, meeting, conference or waiting room table...

The seat height is 44cm.
