Joan Busquets i Jané (Barcelona 1874 - 1949)
A set of 6 chairs in walnut, mahogany, Hungarian ash and mother-of-pearl inlays. Marquetry of various woods depicting carnations (the Spanish national flower) on the upper part of the backrests.
100 x 42 x 50 cm each.
With metal plate from the workshop on the back “Juan Busquets - Ciudad 9 - Barcelona”
Various signs of wear due to age. Two minor damages on the backrest. Original upholstery preserved on the back.

Origins:
Presented by the designer at the 6th International Art Exhibition in Barcelona in 1911, they were part of a furniture set that earned him a first-class medal.
