Description
This wood and veneer table by Geraldo de Barros for "Hobjeto" is a good example of the state of mind of Brazilian modernist designers. Its clean lines are resolutely modern, the right angles are softened by the subtle curves of the finishes, giving it a particular tact. The watchwords are simplicity, functionality but also sensuality in the choice of materials, wood giving warmth to a deliberately sober design.
More than simple objects, the pieces of Geraldo de Barros are so many concrete manifestos for a utopian society based on a re-invention of spatial planning.
