Solid elm

Very good condition

The facades are composed of vertical slats of solid elm set within a wide frame; the handles, two half-moons carved from a single piece of wood, meet in the center. The cabinet rests on four square uprights that raise it distinctly off the floor.

Maison Regain, based in the Hautes-Alpes region, produced solid elm furniture with horizontal lines and softened edges from the 1960s to the 1980s, entrusting its production to French workshops rather than a single factory. Dutch elm disease having wiped out elm from French forests by the end of the 1970s, the collection became obsolete.

The interior has one shelf and two drawers. The whole piece has been fully restored.
