They started like this, these stairs, down on the left, at the first step. Little by little, we added more risers and then more steps; a short pause, a landing, and then we started climbing again, on the other side. It resulted in what you see: a continuous line.
These stairs against the sky are a bit like life: they start at a certain point and then they rise. Not necessarily very regularly, not quite straight either, towards who knows where, for who knows what either — but one thing is certain, these stairs lead there. And while we wait to reach it, they give us above all the opportunity to dream of it, the blue of the sky(2).
(1) Tempera is a painting process that uses egg yolk as a binder for pigments — similar to oil for oil painting.
